Anyone have ideas for a twisted fairy tales halloween themed party?
I need some ideas for a twisted fairy tales halloween party. I'm good on the costumes. I need some ideas for party decorations and invitations. Can anyone help me out?
I love everyone's ideas for the swirls in the decorations! Start there and add in the "evil aspects of the fairy tales -
You can use cues from Alice in Wonderland for your invitations such as an envelope sticker that says "Open Me" and an RSVP card that says "Reply to Me". Use wording like "Follow us down the Rabbit Hole for a night filled with Twisted Fairy Tales". "We will be very Grimm indeed if you do not reply by October 15th"
Or go with a witch motif. They are found in many fairy tales, Hansel and Gretal, Snow White etc.
Keep going with the fairy tale theme for your decorations. Poison apple make cute seating cards. And gingerbread houses are perfect centerpieces.
Maybe a pile of straw and a pile of gold colored yarn a la Rumpelstiltskin...

Very little red riding hood. A couple of Big Bad Wolf silhouettes cut from black poster board lurking in the shadows would be fun too!
Dragons were always prevalent in fairy tales too, so work them in if you can.
