Who gave "King of the jungle" this name to lion?
Lion cannot beat tiger, this is for sure. Why most people likes lion and thinks lion can beat tiger. I asked why do you guys think that lion is the strongest animal in the world? And they answered because lion is the king of the jungle.
Well this is crazy right. I hate lions. And loves tigers.
I want to ask who gave lion that stupid name??
The lion has been called the king of beasts for centuries, because of its regal, majestic appearance and its position at the top of the food chain. Also, a male lion stalking proudly among his lionesses and cubs may resemble a human king lording it over his subjects. As people became more and more 'civilized' and lost touch with nature, wild animals in general were often referred to as 'jungle animals' - hence, the lion became king of the jungle, even though the vast majority of lions live on the open plains of Africa, not in jungles (the only lions outside this habitat and continent are the Asiatic lions of the Gir Forest in India).
As for 'lion cannot beat tiger, this is for sure', actually it isn't for sure at all. A fight between a lion and a tiger could go either way. There are numerous records of fights between these species, since many people in the past have wanted the answer to this question and tried to settle it by cruelly pitting tigers and lions against each other. In some cases the tiger wins, in some cases the lion. The outcome of such a fight depends on the individuals involved - their age, size, sex, health, experience, temperament, etc. Tigers are larger and stronger, but size and strength are not the only determining factors - a large but timid tiger would be likely to lose to a small but aggressive lion, even though it was stronger. Lions generally have more fighting experience - they often clash with other prides, whereas tigers tend to avoid conflict whenever possible.
Why do you hate lions? Seems odd to me that you love tigers but hate lions. Both are beautiful and fascinating animals, like all members of the cat family.
