Virus that displays what looks like a disco ball in the system tray.?
I seem to have a virus on my laptop. After I boot up the computer, I am able to perform my usual tasks. After a few minutes, this disco ball looking thing appears in my system tray. When this happens, I am not able to click anything on the task bar, including the start menu. Also the task manager doesn't seem to work. I have windows vista. I have AVG virus protection on my laptop. I have ran a number of scans with AVG and it never finds any threats.
Go to start > run > msconfig > then go to startup tab, and uncheck the program causing this if it listed there.
If not, you have to find a way to get your computer cleaned.
